The world of buying a replacement laptop screen can be a confusing place today as manufacturers switch over from LCD to LED and the use of 2 bulb LCD panels in the bigger sizes becomes a common thing.

Sometimes the only way to check which screen the manufacturer has used in your laptop is to take your old one out before you purchase a replacement. If you order incorrectly it may cost you in postage charges if you are the one making the mistakes.

The images below will assist you, and us if you contact us via telephone as sometimes the model number of the laptop isn't clear in what screen the manufacturer would have fitted during production.

LCD or LED?

If you are unsure if your laptop has a LCD or LED screen installed in it, remove the screen bezel and see if your laptop screen has the inverter cables coming out of the bottom right hand side.

LCD CCFL-1 Bulb or CCFL-2 Bulb?

If you are unsure if you laptop has a Single or Double Bulb LCD fitted. Please remove the screen bezel from around the screen and see which on eyou have as below

30 PIN LED or 40 PIN LED, ( Reference to Samsung NC-10 mostly )

Does your netbook have a 30pin connection or a 40pin connection? Most common laptop that this throws people out is the Samsung NC-10, but we have know other makes/models to have both.

Getting your Screen Part Number

The part number of the screen is always on the back of the laptop screen and would consist of the manufacturers code and the screen size.

Examples:

LP133WH1 (TL) (A1) - The LP indicates LG Philips and the 133 is the size 13.3"

B116XW02 v.0 - The B indicates AUOptronics and the 116 is the size 11.6"

CLAA154WB03 - The CLAA indicates Chunghwa and the 154 is the size 15.4"

N184H4 -L04 - The N indicates CHI MEI and the 184 is the size 18.4"

LTN160AT01 - The LTN indicates Samsung and the 160 is the size 16.0"
